Intentionality

HAPPY 2022!!!! Typing that out was a little scary because it means that I graduate this year….. yikes. I’m not a person who is big on new years resolutions. I can never seem to make it past February. Recently, a different type of New Years tradition has come to my attention: a word of the year. A word of the year is a word that you use as a single word mantra for the year. After thinking about this I decided my word of 2022 is going to be Intentionality.

The google definition of Intentionality is to be purposeful. Now everyone has a purpose from God. Now don’t fret if God hasn’t bestowed you with the purpose he has created you for yet! Christians as a collective are called by the bible to make disciples of the world! This is our purpose as a whole!!! But there is also a secondary definition of Intentionality. In philosophy Intentionality means the power of the mind to represent or stand for something.

This year I want to be intentional about Jesus. I want to stand for Jesus. I want to represent Him, spread His love, show others the grace and glory of the Lord. He is so kind & so merciful. He was INTENTIONAL when creating us all. This year, 2022, I want to challenge by self to intentionally spread His Word.

I challenge you all to also pick a word of the year. Help others come to know Jesus’ love for us all!! I am so excited to see what this year holds for me and to see how intentionality is going to not only grow my faith but help me PURSUE JESUS!!! Amen!!!!
